Although my focus has largely shifted from ID to education, I still maintain ties to Discovery Institute. Today I received an announcement for this year’s (2016) Summer Seminars. If you have an interest in ID and fit the requirements, you can’t do better but go to one of these events. The organizers treat you well, and you’ll learn about the current state of the program and how you can plug in:
Applications for the 2016 Summer Seminars are now open! Please encourage any eligible students you know to apply and please consider spreading the word in any additional ways you can. Here are a few ideas:
- Write about the seminar on a blog or news post
- Send an email announcement to any lists you manage or subscribe to
- Hand out flyers (see attached – if you would like to receive a quantity of pre-printed flyers, please let me know)
- Post the seminar logo as an ad to any websites you manage (let me know if you need particular specs)
Here is a link to our Evolution News story if the description is helpful for you:http://www.evolutionnews.org/2015/12/how_does_summer101941.html.
The seminar runs from July 8-16 this year. As you know, the seminar expenses are covered for those accepted and travel scholarships are awarded based upon need after acceptance into the program. The application deadline is Thursday, April 7th. Applicants must be college juniors/seniors, or in graduate school. Please direct people to www.discovery.org/sem for more information.
